Each season Hinchman sponsors this award in support of the MSCS driver development program.. The Centerpoint, IN, sprint car driver moved up to third in the standings to begin July and protected that spot the second half of the season.
For 2018 we are stepping it up with a weekend event on our normal Friday race night and a $10,000 payout to the event winner - and the largest overall purse in the history of the Speedway.
As in past years we are selling tickets in advance and plan to have the grandstand sold-out well in advance of the event.Three of the top ten MSCS drivers participated in the program this past season.The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Iowa, also contributes three membership packets each season.The biggest event in the history of Jacksonville Speedway is now set for Friday April 13th as the Craftsman World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series returns to Jacksonville Speedway for an event paying ,000 to the winner.The past two Outlaw events in 2014 (won by Christopher Bell) and 2016 (won by Joey Saldana) were mid-week events with a ,000 to win payout.In route to the season title, Brady Short was ever consistent in finishing in the top 10 in all 15 feature events held.
